Apple’s AirPods are one of the most popular earbuds on the market and for good reason. They are of great quality in both build and sound (in my opinion). They can charge super fast and have many great features, they can also be a good distance away from your device without losing connection. With just a few minutes in their charging case, both the AirPods and AirPods Pro are ready to go.
Despite there being countless wireless earbuds available, the AirPods have kept their status of being one of the best quality options. Apple currently has three versions of the AirPods to choose from (earbuds) not including the AirPods Max.
There is no doubt that the AirPods line is the most popular choice when it comes to earbuds, especially for iPhone/Mac users. The seamless experience you get is second to none, with instant pair times, the ability to switch between your devices with ease, and the support of ‘Hey Siri’ voice commands.
How long does it take to fully charge AirPods and AirPods Pro?
Having the ability to charge your AirPods for a few minutes, and get a couple of hours of playback is perfect, but how long does it actually take to charge them to 100%? Apple doesn’t disclose this time on their website, however, I can give you some rough times from my own experience.
AirPods 2 takes 20-30 minutes for a full charge to 100%.
AirPods 3 & AirPods Pro both take around 45-60 minutes to charge to 100%.
AirPods 2, 3, and Pro all provide speedy charging for on-the-go situations. Although the charge times may not be the most impressive, you can get a full three hours of use in just fifteen minutes or an entire hour of listening in only five minutes – a feat that definitely shouldn’t be overlooked.
How long does it take to fully charge AirPods Max?
The AirPods Max, part of Apple’s wireless earbuds lineup, differ from the other AirPods in that they are a pair of over-ear headphones without a charging case. Instead, the AirPods Max has a Lightning port that allows users to directly connect them to a power source, such as a cable. As stated by Apple, a 5-minute charge can provide the headphones with 1.5 hours of listening time, while a full recharge will give up to 20 hours of listening with both ANC and Spatial Audio enabled.
The AirPods Max takes roughly 2 hours to charge to 100%.
